Generations of Tradition

The hills of Fairfield Vermont have been home to Branon farming operations for more than a century. Dan & Helen Branon, and many others in the family, are proudly carrying on the tradition started by Dan's great grandfather E. Frank Branon many decades earlier.

In 1980 Dan & Helen purchased their dairy and maple sugaring farm on West Street, here they raised their five children; Dan, Gene, Mona, Matthew and Adam, and continued to grow their family business.

Over the decades, as their children grew, their operation began to expand.  In 1992 they began their transition from the traditional way of sugaring with buckets and horses and began using a pipeline system.  The pipeline carries the maple sap directly to the sugarhouse or other remote location, making the collection of sap more efficient.
